What and where is Koh Chang?
Only 360 kilometers from Bangkok, Koh Chnag is an island paradise with pristine forests and rich marine life. The largest of 47 islands off the coast of Trat province, its seeming inaccessibility means that the island has been largely overlooked by visitors, making it a true island getaway. However, an excellent road from Bangkok and a flight to Trat Airport, have meant that the destination is now starting to get the attention that it deserves.

Where is the resort located?
The Amari Emerald Cove is located on the secluded Klong Prao Beach in Koh Chang. There is a quiet beach great for walking along one side and a sandy cove on the other. The resort is only a short drive and a ferry ride from the newly opened Trat airport.

What types of rooms are available at the resort?
The resort has 165 superior and deluxe rooms and suites. Superior rooms have mountain view and the deluxe rooms have pool and sea view. Both the superior and the deluxe rooms are 40 m2 and feature a 10 m2 terrace with table and chairs. Other features in the room include:

Do you have meeting rooms?
At the Amari Emerald Cove Resort, we have the largest ballroom and meeting room facilities on the island. A number of creative theme evenings can be tailored to cat for both small and large groups. What facilities are available at the resort?
The
resort has a choice of dining options serving international, Italian and Thai cuisine. Guests can choose from the Cove Terrace all day dining restaurant, Thai and seafood specialities at Just Thai Restaurant plus the Sassi Italian restaurant. The Breezes Bar features live music every night, plus room service operates twenty-four hours for those late night snack attacks.

What sport is available at the resort?
Guests at the Amari Emerald Cove Resort can enjoy a 50 metre pool, jacuzzi, a children's pool and a scuba diving centre. Our activity team arranges activities throughout the day including water ball, volley ball, darts, petanque, horseshoe throwing, kayaking and more. In addition, there is a gym at the spa.

Is there a spa at the resort?
With its white sandy beaches, caves, bays and tropical forests, Amari Emerald Cove Resort is the perfect place to replenish the mind. With this in mind, guests can enjoy a complete range of massage, body and facial treatments at the Sivara Spa.

Does my room reservation require any guarantee?
All room reservations require a cash or credit card guarantee.

How do I cancel my hotel reservation without a charge?
To cancel your booking without incurring any charge, please contact the Reservations Department by emailing reservations@emeraldcove.amari.com at least one day prior to your arrival. You will then be given a cancellation number. Different cancellation policies may apply during high and peak season.

How many people can stay in one room?
Each guest room can accommodate a maximum of four people (two adults and two children). Please note that the third bed will be a rollaway bed.

The standard check-in time is 14:00 and check out is at 12:00 noon. However, if you are arriving earlier then we make every effort to ensure that a room is available for you.

is sometimes possible to check in earlier, however, this depends on availability and cannot be guaranteed. However, to be sure of having the room ready upon arrival, you can reserve the room from the night before.

The resort's restaurants and bars offer international favourites at The Cove Terrace, authentic Thai cuisine in Just Thai, a modern twist on Italian favourites at Sassi and cocktails at Pool bar. In the evening, drinks are served and our house band is playing at the Breezes Bar.

What is the weather like at different times of the year?
As a general guideline, the weather in Thailand is warm all year round. However, the weather is generally most pleasant from November to February when there are clear skies and sunshine. The "hot season" is from April and May, when temperatures reach their highest. The "rainy season" is between June and September although it does not rain every day and usually the rain only lasts for an hour or so in the evening.

What should I wear in Thailand?
The dress code in Thailand is quite modest and so conservative dress is recommended. Shorts and sleeveless vests cannot be worn to visit a temple.

We have diving schools, which operate at the Amari Palm Reef Resort in Samui and the Amari Coral Beach Resort in Phuket and the Amari Emerald Cove Resort in Koh Chang. There are, of course, many companies offering this service throughout Thailand.
